Sanitisation Processes for Baby Products to Maintain Ultimate Hygiene

Play area surfaces and toys as well as baby products can be susceptible to germs. It’s important that toddlers, babies are not exposed to them because it can cause them to fall ill by being exposed to germs.

Here are a few ways you can sanitize baby products including baby feeding cushion to ensure they’re hygienic and safe -

  1. Water and soap -

Washing hands with soap and water is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of viruses or bacteria. It can also be used to clean surfaces and products such as toys and rattlers too. You can dip them in a sink with warm water and dish soap and it’ll do the trick.

It’s never safe to wash electrical toys so be aware of that. Just make sure that the products are waterproof so they don’t get spoilt and you’re good to go.

  1. Dishwasher -

Sometimes, it’s as easy as just placing toys and products into the dishwasher. Whether it’s plastic blocks, pegs, shape sorter pieces, newborn baby swaddle or toys, the dishwasher can take care of them all.

Hot water and soap can go a long way in ensuring that these products are cleaned and sanitized. It’s also a nice idea to use the dishwasher for bath toys as they can develop mildew and mold over time.

  1. Surface cleaners -

Some cleansers contain harsh chemicals, so it’s important that you opt for surface cleaners that are environmentally-friendly. You don’t want your child having some sort of irritation after being exposed to other types of cleaners.

It’s important that you work with toy cleaners which don’t include dyes and are free from parabens and phthalates. Toddlers and babies generally place toys in their mouths, so a good environmentally-safe cleaner is a smart choice, keep that in mind while cleaning your baby feeding bottle set as well.

  1. Surface wipes -

There are many aisles in stores which are purely dedicated towards surface wipes and disinfectants. Most surface wipes are an excellent way to clean up plastic toys which contain batteries and can’t be placed in the dishwasher or come in contact with water.

You can use special pacifier wipes as well as sanitizers which are safe for babies who tend to put items in their mouths.

Generally, kids tend to spread sickness to others by touching an item or a toy which contains germs and then touching their mouths with it. Adults must ensure that these products are sanitized often so that children don't catch an infection which can prove to be painful over time.
